Could Spurs and Brighton do a swap deal?

Brighton's opening offer of 30m for Luka Vuskovic did not meet Spurs' valuation of the defender. So, for now, talks remain ongoing.

Spurs have had two bids for Jan Paul van Hecke rejected, according to Brighton's chief executive Paul Barber, and their pursuit is ongoing.

At first, it was just a case of Spurs pursuing Van Hecke, but Brighton's bid for Vuskovic certainly indicates that the two deals will be somewhat linked if an agreement can be reached.

The days of swaps in football are largely over now because under the current financial rules it makes more sense to keep the deals separate.

However, if the two clubs can agree deals for each player, the values will almost certainly be linked even if they are in two separate deals.

What does the future hold for Rashford?

Barcelona's option to buy Marcus Rashford included in the loan agreement with Manchester United expires today.

It's not a surprise that Barcelona have let this 26m option run down. The Spanish champions, who spent 69m on Rashford's team-mate Anthony Gordon, have been unwilling to pay that previously agreed price for the winger.

However, Barcelona are still potentially open to doing another loan deal for Rashford, who scored 14 goals and registered 14 assists across all competitions for the Catalonian club last season.

Barcelona's position on Rashford could change depending on their pursuit of primary forward target Julian Alvarez as they look to replace the departed Robert Lewandowski.

If a deal cannot be agreed with Barcelona, there is confidence at United that Rashford could be sold for a higher fee elsewhere especially if he impresses in this summers World Cup for England.

If an agreement for Rashford's departure is not reached after the World Cup, Rashford will return to Carrington but expectations are that we have still seen the last of Rashford in a Manchester United shirt. Sources have told Sky Sports News that both the player, his representatives and the club will continue to work on securing him a permanent move away from Old Trafford

The wingers Arsenal are looking at this summer

One of Arsenal's top priorities this summer is signing a left-winger. They have been stepping up their interest in Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, although his future will not be determined until after the World Cup with England.

Arsenal like Anthony Gordon but were content to see him go to Barcelona and, while an ideal target, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia is expected to remain at Paris Saint-Germain.

Your Site News understands Arsenal have watched his clubmate , and Yan Diomande at RB Leipzig, as well as Eintracht Frankfurt's Jean-Matteo Bahoya. They are also one of the admirers of Bournemouth forward Junior Kroupi.

Why this will be a busy summer for Man Utd

Man Utd have already moved swiftly to secure the transfer of Ederson from Atalanta to kick off their midfield rebuild. His late call-up to Brazil's World Cup squad is the only thing delaying confirmation of that deal going through with the player still needing to do a medical.

United want to sign at least two midfielders, and the next target appears to be Mateus Fernandes of West Ham. An offer is being prepared for the player, who is free to complete any deal because he was overlooked for Portugal's World Cup squad.

As for the rest of United's business, they want to bring in a left-back, back-up 'keeper and potentially another left winger. Lewis Hall and Antonnee Robinson are being monitored for the left side of defence, while Yan Diomande is one they like for the forward position.

There is a possibility of United signing a third midfielder this summer but that will be dependent on Manuel Ugarte being sold. He is one of a few first-team players expected to go this summer. Bournemouth's Alex Scott is one of the midfielders high on United's list.

Newcastle set for busy summer window

Expect it to be a busy summer window at Newcastle with as many as six to 10 players potentially coming in.

Replacing Anthony Gordon will be crucial after he signed for Barcelona. He could play on the right and through the middle as well as primarily being a left-winger, so Newcastle have a big hole to fill with regard to Gordon.

Newcastle are in talks with Osasuna for winger Victor Munoz. The 22-year-old is currently with Spain at the World Cup. He fits the profile of player Newcastle will be aiming to sign this summer because they have a reduced budget after missing out on Europe.

Goalkeeper is another area Newcastle are expected to add in. Aaron Ramsdale is not returning after his loan from Southampton, while Nick Pope has a year on his deal. Twenty-year-old keeper Ewen Jaouen was signed from Reims earlier this month, but he is seen as one for the future.

James Trafford remains a top target for Newcastle heading into this window after they missed out on him last summer. Man City signed Gianluigi Donnarumma after Trafford, who then had to settle for being No 2. If he decideds to move on, expect Newcastle to be in for him.

Kieran Trippier's exit means right-back will be an area of focus, while Newcastle are also keen to add a striker this summer.

Premier League done deals

The summer transfer window opened on June 15 and closes at 11pm UK time on September 1.

Check below for a comprehensive list of all the Premier League ins and outs from the 2026 summer transfer window, as clubs confirm released lists and look to make reinforcements around the .

What's going on at Liverpool?

Liverpool may not have signed any players yet, but they have moved quickly to bring in a new head coach, Andoni Iraola.

He will want specific players that fit into his philosophy and there is the added layer of complication the World Cup brings.

Most of Liverpool's targets are players currently at the tournament.

For instance, Yan Diomande of the Ivory Coast is one of Liverpool's top forward targets as they look to replace Mohamed Salah.

All the necessary paperwork is understood to have been completed and Sage's work permit secured.

Palace had already agreed a compensation package with RC Lens to release Sage from his contract at the Ligue 1 club.

Palace are already working hard to ensure he has a squad ready to compete in the Europa League and the Premier League.
